Indeed a good job by the district head led by frontline warriors in Coimbatore in keeping COVID-19 spread under control, State Health Minister Dr C Vijayabaskar has said after chairing a review meet in connection with measures taken to combat coronavirus across the district at Singanallur ESI Medical College Hospital.
Earlier, he went around the medical college premises and interacted with the doctors, nurses, para medical staff besides enquiring with the patients about the treatment being given to them. In fact, Local Administration Minister S P Velumani, amidst his busy schedule in inaugurating development works and distributing relief measures to needy people, took proactive steps in ensuring the district is corona free.
Dr Vijaybaskar during the meet said that the ESI Medical College Hospital will be upgraded with 800 bedded facility from the present 400 beds and expressed happiness that 280 corona patients, who were admitted here were discharged after treatment. And he praised the team of doctors, nurses and cleanliness workers, who put on a brave face to save patients unmindful of the risk they had to face in treating corona patients.
