Sadhu Vaswani Centre, Coimbatore chapter took out a Peace March on November 19 from Avinashilingam College to GCT College. And this rally was organised as a curtain raiser to International Meatless Day on November 25.
Bharathi Park Ladies Association alongwith 5 schools participated in the Peace rally – Chinmaya Vidyalaya – 3 schools, Sindhi Vidyalaya, VidyaVikasini and S.V. Nagar School. Around 600 children participated in the rally. Children armed with placards went thru’ the main thoroughfare to campaign for meatless day.
Every year for the international meatless day, Bharathi Park Ladies Association has been conducting vegetarian cookery competition for their members and this year they had their cookery competition on November 21st.
Sadhu Vaswani Mission celebrates the International Meatless Day every year on November 25th.
It is birthday of their founder T.L. Vaswani, who had reverence for all life.
