Small drops make an ocean! That is what the on lookers witnessed as the students and staff of Kikani Vidhya Mandir Senior Secondary School Coimbatore collectively sowed seeds in their respective pots thereby garnering 1100 pots. This initiative called Vidhaithu Payir, Learn to nurture was conceptualized with an idea of cultivating the habit of farming among students.
The event was presided over by Sriram Prasad, CEO and Founder Keeraikadai.com and Farmers A. Gnanamani, P.Vetrivelan, Shanmugasundaram and K.C.Gopal. On the auspicious day of guru purnima, a prayer was offered to Mother Nature following which the process and importance of Vidhaithal / Sowing was explained by the principal Geetha Raj. The Kikanians will nurture their pots throughout the year and would take home their produce.
