The Magical Power of Yoga

Yoga is an ancient art and modern science. The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. Over a period of time, yoga has evolved as therapeutic yoga consists of asanas, pranayama and savasana.
Asana is a body posture or position that is steady and comfortable. Pranayama is the conscious awareness of breath: the life force that both energizes and relaxes the body. Savasana helps in relaxation of the body and mind. It’s an integral function of body, mind and soul.
Yoga has its roots in philosophical context too. In the modern world, yoga as a lifestyle, it’s not about practicing asanas or sitting in one corner to do meditation. It’s a way of living through guided process. By practicing yoga religiously helps one to develop self – discipline and self – awareness. It makes one aware about what we speak, feel and act.
Yoga is a mind game. Activating body and mind at a time develops sportive spirit and brings involvement in every aspects of life. Life is a game; playing it to the fullest is the essence of life. Yoga helps to activating the mind in clarity thinking, makes to understand the reality of situations, accept the things which can be changed or not and expect nothing. Heart is a place to cherish healthy mind and healthy body.
