“Our Motto is to service Mankind”, said AL. Ulaganathan, the mastermind behind Krishnanjali. Surprisingly, the dream of Lord Ragavendra Swami that made him to do the groundwork for Krishnanjali in 2002 single-handedly at RS Puram. It was one among the other institution to teach Dance and Music those days.
And it got to a start with three children and thereafter a year Krishnanjali, was able to have on it’s roll hundreds of students to impart “art for life”. In a step further, the center started to teach instruments like keyboard, guitar, drums, violin, etc.The fee structure was Rs.100 for music, 150 for dance and 300 for instrument on those days. “The motive behind is to make those keen to learn the art, not to make money”, revealed Ulaganathan.
After 12 long years, Krishnanjali scaled new heights with internationally certified courses, for students. Instrumental oriented children were honed and equipped to write 8 grade exams, at Trinity college, London. For vocal, dance, violin & Veena they were required to write 8 grade exams at Annamalai University. For instance 30 students have done salangai Pooja for four times and soon going to outright their Arangetram. The senior students in vocal are allowed to perform devotional songs during temple festivals.
Notably, dedicated teachers were behind the success during the last 12 years. Nine teachers have been engaged for dance, vocal & instruments. About 250 students are studying now. Summer camps were organized for the students for the past 17 years. Other than dance & music, exceptionally, vedic maths, abacus, drawing, spoken english, hand writing are provided like a bunch of course.
Discipline, affordable fees structure, safe & secured environment and well trained teachers are the main reason for the success, says U. Solai Ulaganathan, Marketing executive, Krishnanjali Musical Center. Further, he added that the institution is not only for the children, but also for adults.
Interestingly, Doctors, Engineers, IT professionals are regular to their classes to relieve the stress via Music. The children willing to join in instrumental classes can buy instrument for very reasonable price @ Shri Krishna Musical House. The students have also performed and achieved in so many competitions. Facilities like water provision and lavatory are provided for the students & parents can also stay for their children @ vestibule, since the institution is filled with 80% of girls.
“We need youngsters & elders to use music as a stress buster” says, Solai Ulaganathan. “Kovai Metro is also one of the main reasons for our success in provincial areas”, says the son and father by chorus. For details call 9443742695.
