Department of commerce at Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science, Kovaipudur organised for Best Manager (Wolf of Wall Street) contest for students which was part of Adividya 2019 intercollegiate program.
Trinity Mirror scribe M Rafi Ahmed was the judge for the contest to select the best manager from among the contestants drawn from different colleges in and around Coimbatore. And there were four rounds for students from commerce stream to show their prowess.
Earlier, Sri Krishna group of institutions managing trustee and chairperson S Malarvizhy inaugurated the inter-collegiate events at the auditorium in the presence of principal Dr Palaniammal, HoD English Dr Swapna and others.
The first round had ‘Identification Quest’. The contestants were to identify the company based on the logo while the second round ‘7th sense’ pertained to a list of words given from a newspaper and playing a video simultaneously and questions were shot based on the video.
It was indeed fascinating to watch the third round which was a ‘Case Study’ round. Contestants were asked to give their suggestions based on the case which was related to a company.
The most interesting part of this round is the contestants need to present their case with the help of a chart and to speak about the company.
And final round was a question and answer session. This particularly revealed the capability of the contestants in displaying their talent in answering to queries offhand sans any preparation.
Sivaprakash from Ramakrishna College of Arts and Science was the winner while the first runner up was Aswathi S and second runner up Tamilarasan.
Noteworthy to mention that the entire concept was conceived by the department students and coordinated by faculty members Preetha Leena R and Surya Sree M of commerce department.
