An unforgettable moment for 1969 – 1974 batch students of PSG College of Technology as they celebrated their golden jubilee in convening the meet with their mates. A redeeming feature of the reunion is honouring their teachers, who are now over 85 years old.
About 54 old students from far off US, Australia, UK, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia had made it to the meet and shared their memories of their college days. And more importantly, 18 teachers despite their oldage and sick evinced keen interest to attend the reunion to see their students. Words cannot express the amount of happiness the old students derived in visiting their classrooms, hostel and dining hall. They also partook lunch at the hostel. Tears rolled down the cheeks as they sat together after a gap of 59 years. They recalled their hostel days. Principal Dr Rudramurthy identified each and every student and enquired about their family and their wellness. Moreover, the old students honoured their teachers with mementoes as a token of their love and respect to their gurus on the occasion of reunion.
Sadness lit large on their faces when they bid adieu from the reunion. And they asked for themselves whether they would meet again and when. Krishnakumar coordinated the reunion, says PRO Alalasundaram.
