Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity is to host flea bazaar to raise funds thru’ a two day carnival on December 1 & 2 at Hindustan college grounds, Nava India.
Disclosing this to media persons, club president Senthil Kumar said that this is the first time that such a big event is being held in Coimbatore and added that they have planned to set up 120 plus stalls right from food to music. And the bazaar will be open from 11am to 9pm.
Moreover, the proceeds will be used for treating children between 1 to 6 affected by Leukemia besides breast cancer patients jointly with Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (KMCH).
Badri Kota, chairman, Jamboree 2018 said that there would be an exclusive food court of 20 stalls with a variety of cuisine.
Free workshops for kids will be conducted by eminent people besides lot of games for children. A senior citizen corner is arranged so that elders are also a part of the fun.
An electric vehicle is also arranged for the senior citizens to move around. In view of encouraging art and craft we have given space for artisans from Puducherry, Rameshwaram, Chennai, Kerala and to the Todas to support the dying art.
Also free stalls are given to the blind and needy as this will showcase their skills and products. We are taking all efforts to make sure all the stalls will have visibility and prizes will be announced every 20 minutes to encourage sales.
A mobile stroke scanning machine one of its first kind in Asia by KMCH is also being kept here to bring in awareness. Ambulance, first aid corner and wheel chairs will be at the venue.
